I would appreciate if anyone has any more details on this accident, as I am preparing a letter to the County asking for speed limit postings and hazard warnings on Bowen Ranch Rd.
In regard to your question as to the location of Deadman's Curve, this is the sequence of landmarks as you are driving Bowen Ranch Rd. toward the hot springs:
Paradise Ranch (burned out), Arrastre Canyon, climb out of Arrastre Canyon on steep winding segment (Dead Man's Curve), Coxey Truck Trail turn-off to Oak Springs @ BLM kiosk, Powerline passes overhead shortly after, Rock Springs Ranch main buildings, Village turn-off, cattle guard, Luna Ranch Turnoff, Bowen Ranch.
There is a blind segment of road just after the power lines cross the road and just before the Rock Springs Ranch main gate that has extra risk. Was that the area of the accident?
