Re: DCV June Meeting Minutes part 2

Item 5) Summer newsletter:
Contributions for our summer newsletter should be sent to DCV by using the link given below or taken from our brochure. Sycamore will write an article on summer at the springs. A number of first-time visitors have been invited to submit their stories.

Item 6) DCV Banner:
Paul priced a banner at $40. The dimensions were not what is wanted for use as a table banner. Ron will check further on prices.

Item 7) Non-profit status:
Ron has looked into registration as a non-profit. Registering as a 501(c)3 requires a lot of paperwork and is mostly suitable for larger groups which recieve funding through grants. A simpler alternative is to register as a 501(c)4, which requires minimal paperwork. All present agree to the alternative.

Item 8) Meeting Change:
Group discusses the minimal needs for lengthy discussion meetings now that we are well-esatblished. All present agree that we could have formal discussion meetings every two-three months, and shorter meetings coinciding with planned events in the alternate months. No schedule has been drawn up yet for this.
