On my last visit to the springs I noticed some graffiti on a big flat rock by the beach, which is across the creek from the Crab Cooker. This big flat rock is back under some shade, in the area people usually spend time just west of the beach. Looks to be the black crayon type of marker used by those who do this type of thing. This is something we certainly don't want to see down at that bueatiful place. About 5 miles downstream from Deep Creek at the Mohave Dam, the area has been hit hard by graffiti over the last 20 years. Lots of trash too. The dam area is easy to access by the local High desert population and thus, gets easily abused. Perhaps at the next DCV meeting at the springs we can do something about this new bit of tarnish to our special springs.
