I talked to the folks at the Sky Forest Ranger Station and they said it would be ok to park vehicles at the lower USFS parking lot and the one other small area where Route 3 enters thier land, with a Forest Adventure Pass of course. Not many visitors go out there in the " Wild Country " beyond the Bowen Ranch Road, but I did specifically get the USFS reassurance on this point.
