Good points. I doubt we can cover everything without making the type too small to read. "Mud puppies" should be encouraged to use the shower for a good rinse before entering the pools. Sunscreen is another matter, as the oils are possibly a contaminant to the stream as well as the pools. I doubt that it poses any serious environmental problem, though, since it is not a toxic substance. Perhaps there are brands that are more environmentally friendly than others...anyone know more about this? Also, there are brands that do not wash off in water. Bug sprays concern me more, since pesticides do affect living organisms. I would favor using citronella or other burnable bug repellents to keep the biters away from the picnic areas instead of sprays that go onto the skin and get washed off into the water.
