I believe that you spoke to someone else, Mr. Auggie.
To my recollection, I have spoken to a visiting mounted rider on only one occasion in the last 30 years. In the 1980's, I had a conversation with Harry Maginnes from Las Flores Ranch over the installation of the cattle fence that he and his work crew were constructing across Juniper Flats, through Cottonwood Springs, around the Village and past the Vatican. He had the BLM grazing allotment at that time and I perceived him to be a cowboy from an earlier and more respectful era and a gentleman.
After the Willow Fire, I was talking with Barry Nelson at the kiosk closure point and two riders approached. Nelson advised them to stay on Bowen Ranch Rd. I listened to the conversation, but do not recall speaking.
Care to refresh my memory?
