The creek is low today and one can cross on the rocks without getting wet. Since it is winter, this is subject to change if we get rain. Overnight lows have been down to the mid teens lately so be prepared if you plan to camp.
The USFS will issue you a ticket for camping in the Deep Creek canyon. The best place to camp in the area hassle free is at the Bowen Ranch. The owner charges a small fee but it is less $$ than going to a movie. It is also legal to camp on BLM administered lands outside the USFS boundry fence.
