As expected there was no meeting yesterday. I was there just in case. I hiked in on the Bradford Ridge trail. It was only 45 degrees when I started and there was plenty of traget practice occuring in the hills behind me. I was just about leaving the sounds of gunfire behind me when a persistent drizzle started that soon became a light rain, and that persisted till I satted the final decent into Deep Creek Canyon. I had taken a jacket with me hiking with a jacket on to protect you from the rain just means that you get wet form the inside out insted of the other way around. Just before I reached the springs the sun finally emerged, so I was able to enjoy a short while of sunshine before the next cloud interupted it.
Pete was the only regular I recognized on arrival. There was just around a dozen folks there when I first arrived with the largest group being of Japanese textiles. During the afternoon a group of Israelis and a goup of Chinese arrived all textile. There were still about 10 of us naturist to uphold the local custom. We did briefly talk about DCV during our casual conversation, but for most of the time I just relaxed and enjoyed a soak that was far overdue.
After about 3 hours I hiked out, and once again encountered a persistent drizzle during the last 15 minutes of the trail. By the numner of small puddles and slushiness of 173 I figured it must have drizzled up there most of the day.
So what works best for our December meeting, Saturday the 14th. or 21st.?
