This will be my second visit to the hot springs. The first time a friend and I hiked it as a through hike along deep creek ( a long 17 mile day ). We parked one car by the dam and the other was up somewhere (still a little fuzzy on that part). Anyway, I was hopeing to park a little closer this time. I thought about the 5 dollar fee for Bowens Ranch and I also noticed the other road just behind it.
Several Questions. Does the second road need a real high clearence vehicle or would my subaru make it okay? Has the property owners calmed down of late? What is the water level like at the pools. Has the drought adversly affected them? Will a tuesday be a relatively calm day, I hear that some days are more hectic at the pools than others....
Looking forward to a nice hike and a good soak!
