Sorry to be making a joke about it, but really, what kind of trouble has the toad caused you? Do you have similar feelings about all endangered species, or only ones that happen to live in your chosen recreation areas?

I've just read through the news from the UN report on the state of the world in preparation for the Earth Summit. That is sobering, but it isn't only forests that are being destroyed. If humans manage to survive as a species, the 80's and 90's will be remembered as the age of extinction.

Unfortunately, many people do not understand that the human species is 100% dependent on the other life of the planet, and I'm not talking about night life here. See, you may need the toad, but it may not need you. Now, don't take that "you" too personally, as it applies to all of us.
