Due to having a kid, Covid, etc, it's been a little over 3 years since I've been down to the springs. The wife and I are finally planning on going again later this week, and I was wondering what the status of the Freedom Trail parking area was? Reading through the last few years of posts on here, it seems like there's been some changes at Bowen, there's a new campground/parking area, and not a lot of info concerning Freedom. Are you still able to park there? Has anyone experienced any reports of people messing with vehicles parked there? I remember that that was a concern when I went back in the day, but am not sure of the current state of things.
More or less, hoping someone can help inform me on what's going on topside, and what the current recommendations are for parking/boondocking.
