On Thursday, October 29, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., Skyla Miles, a 21-year-old resident of San Marcos, and Cassandra Dubois, a 20-year-old resident of San Marcos, were hiking in the Deep Creek hot springs. While hiking back to their vehicle, they became lost/disoriented, and were unable to continue due to dehydration and called 911 for help.
