...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING
TO 6 AM PST FRIDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Travel will be
very difficult to impossible, including during the morning
commute on Thursday. Tree branches could fall as well.
Widespread total snow accumulations of 15 to 30 inches are
expected with localized greater amounts possible.
* WHERE...San Bernardino County Mountains.
* WHEN...Wednesday evening through early Friday morning. Western
areas peaking on Thursday morning, shifting east through the day
and Thursday night.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of southeast winds 25 to 40 MPH with
stronger gusts, shifting to northeast Thursday night. Be
prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency.
