The new place is way better to park at than Bowen Ranch just because you can avoid Mike Castro. Initially I was in fear for my car to not pay at Bowens remembering back on all the broken windows & slashed tires myself & people I went with received when we parked on the freedom trail, with not so mysterious motorcycle tracks next to the vandalism. I asked the attendee at the new place if my car was going to be safe and he assured me someone working there could see the cars in the parking area at all times and the property has security cameras if anything did happen. It didn't sound like there was any conflict between them & Bowen ranch anyway. And supposedly Mike is fine with them coming in and building a real campground because they talk often and Mike has told them several times that he was retiring and moving away somewhere in Apple Valley because he was sick of the problems he gets from the hot springers. They are supposed to allow camping overnight there pretty soon with modern facilities like flushable toilets and hot showers unlike the primitive camping supposedly not allowed anymore at Bowen ranch, even though I saw tents set up there last week. The best part is that the owners of this new property being developed are eco-friendly and said the entire property will be totally self sustaining & off the grid with solar power being installed and a new 300 ft deep water well drilled. They are trying to be as green as possible with plans to make structures with earthship type building concepts in the distant future.
