At 10:30 am on Saturday morning I got to the freedom trail head. There were 4 vehicles there. There was no wind and it was 72 degrees. Before this I stopped and got some pictures of the two travel trailers parked at the north west corner of the Bowen ranch. There was a grey 90' s Ford explorer parked in front. Also a backhoe and mini excavator were there also. Mikes truck was not at the ranch. Later I learned That Ann was at the gate.
When I got to the springs there were two groups of Asians. The Chinese were around the Serenity pool and the Japanese were around the Anniversary pool. It amazes me that two neighbors can not get over something that happened 80 years ago before we were all born. I saw no friction but they did not mix. ??? Then a group of nude Mexicans filled the Anniversary pool. When this happened a few of the Japanese males striped down also. Deep creek is always a great place to people watch. I had a long and interesting conversation with the Mexicans. They were some of the coolest and prettiest Mexicans ever. I saw 5 regulars at the springs John and Kelly who live near Lake Arrowhead. A guy from L.A. Named Steve who is an electrical contractor. And a guy from Minnesota who flies in on all of his vacations. And Herald who cleans up the warm springs most of the time.
It was a great day to be there as everyone seemed to have a good time.
As I left just before sunset I noticed the lights were on in one of the travel trailers near the N.W. corner of Bowen ranch.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
