Here is another article on this subject, https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2019/11/04/california-wildfires-power-outages-not-only-threat/4161525002/?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=FeedBlitzRss&utm_campaign=usatoday-newstopstories , note that it says the dam has only ever been about half full. It talks of Hurricanes Katrina and Harvey, and the Orville Dam, as if those things have any real relevance to the circumstances for the Mohave Forks Dam. Hurricanes don't hit California for the reason of the cold Pacific waters in our area, and the Orville Dam has a huge drainage basin that feeds it from the high sierras. Seems to me something else is in play in this sudden, supposed, threat of the Mohave Forks Dam over-topping. Its nothing new to see " projects " proposed and funded for things that make no sense.
