Yesterday at DCHS there were about 50 people throughout the day. The amount mid week varies, and the weather will increase or decrease the amount. When you go through the Bowen Ranch gate and pay, then drive down toward the lower/southerly parking area, and about half way is the rough spot, stop and see what you think, then if it looks too bad, just park on the ranch somewhere before the bad spot. If you can't get past it you only hike a little further, maybe a couple hundred yards or so.
