Re: Considering Camping at Deep Creek HS June 23-25th

Camping is technically illegal within 1 mile of deep creek. That said, upstream from the hotsprings there are numerous beaches, swimming and fishing holes that will get you away frim the crowd. South of the hot springs you will find the same thing. It is easy to get away from the crowds if you are willing to walk another half mile in either direction. You can camp at bowen ranch, and hike in and out. Or if you go to google earth, you can find a couple nice camping areas about 1 mile south east of the hot springs. In my opinion, it would probable be easiest to camp at the ranch and do the hike in and out.
