Yeah, I think maybe the problem is that people in general are f**kheads. Not the ones who are long-timers and read this forum, but the ones who drag down coolers full of beer and bags of weed and boom boxes, and party all day and ogle the CO folks. Mostly if not exclusively yungins I 'spect. And the f**kheads will continue to camp, make fires, and leave bags and bags of trash behind until the place is shut down. Then there will be personnel assigned to the area, but to keep people out. Hopefully that happens before some exceptionally stupid f**khead loses control of their campfire and starts a major wildfire - I'm sure everyone here knows how dry and potentially catastrophic conditions are in SoCal right now.
Don't get me wrong, this makes me very sad and angry - I love DCHS and have had some wonderful, if not at times spiritual, experiences there - but I'm afraid it's only a matter of time.
