Neogeo, also that spring was where the original Bowen Family got their water from. At one point the Bowens used and old vehicle with a container on it to drive down there to fill up and bring back up. Before that they had to carry the water themselves. They were the first family to reside there on that land and the remenants of their home is seen in parts of the Bowen Ranch building, which they accidently built on the adjacent property just on the west of the property they owned. Because of that a seperate APN ( parcel number ) was created to allow them ingress and egress to their home, even though the property under the home was not owned by them :-) Katrina knows this part of the story much better than I do :-) There are interesting accountings of that time written in a document that Gurtie Bowen, the wife wrote, titled The Bowen Ranch Chronicles. Celtfire had posted links to those stories here a long time ago but I don't know how to find that myself now. Maybe somebody else does :-)
