I was out hiking yesterday to the top of Turtle Mountain, about 5,000 foot elevation, and I could clearly see across the Victor valley the fire plume going up from this fire in the Cajon Pass vicinity. The plume subsided in about an hour so it looked like they got a handle on it pretty quickly :-)
