Victor Valley stargazers will have the opportunity this week to catch a glimpse of the first of two comets that will appear in 2013.
If skies are clear, Comet Pan-STARRS may be visible with the unaided eye. It should be brightest Sunday evening as it makes its closest approach to the sun.
Audrey Longshore, a science teacher at Oak Hills High School, said most people might just think the comet is a bright star.
