Welcome to the group. I drive to Bowan Ranch from the San Gabriel valley and it takes about 2 1/2 hours to get to the trail head so it will be full day but well worth the effort. The hot springs are a magical place. Be sure to take water and food. I sometimes stop at Subway for a sandwich to carry down and always take 2-3 snacks.
