What a bad idea, no surprise it's being sponsored by a Republican. Just because its not officially eligible or designated as wilderness, does not mean it should be open to all kinds of public access. 36 million acres of national forest lands are also not designated as wilderness,and already have restrictions on public access and use, which is a good thing.
