I have talked to a ranger that said, 200 ft and a ranger that said a mile from the creek so it is debatable, but to make it safe I would be to about a mile or it. I was also going to go down to the ranger station and get a fire permit for my little propane tank.
But it looks like I will not be going after all, my friend bailed on me
