According to the website:
http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/sanbernardino/faq/#How_do_I_reserve_a_campsite_
it says at least 200 feet, they say a mile as a general rule I guess?
It also says to check with the ranger station when I go up to get a fire permit, which people have told me are free... fire permits only permit propane, not wood or charcol fires.
3 more days. I love hiking and camping smiling smiley

1 more question, should I take a 20 degree sleeping bag or do you think a skinnier "fleece" sleeping bag is suitable? I will be taking 2 of these fleece things.
Last time I went, which was about a month ago it was hot for me. I slept witht he sleeping bag open.
