Tom, its almost always less crowded on a weekday morning than a weekend morning. If you can possibly go thee on a weekday morning, that would be preferable. If you do go on a weekend, you can somewhat reduce the chances of car vandalism by parking at the Bowen Ranch rather than other areas such as the Freedom Trail parking area. Also, follow the usual car safety precautions- don't leave anything of value out on your car seat and make sure to take your wallet with you.
