Although the specific toll road alignment along and through San Mateo Creek is essentially dead, the toll road people are spending some big bucks to come up with an alternative alignment. They are actually talking about moving the alignment south to cut through the agricultural fields on the east side of I-5 across from a portion of San Onofre Beach State Park. Frankly, its doubtful this would ever get final approval, but it would have even more impact on the Trestles surfing area as well as potential impacts to other portions of San 'O.
Again, if anyone has gone to the TRail 6 nude area recently, please let us know if you were hassled by the rangers.
