I happened to be there at the time. Friends of Deep Creek was started by the Moss Mill gang. Do you remember them ? Mike Castro was originally a part of that in spirit or so he pretended. But he used bullying, fear and intimidation to scare all the weaklings away so he could get control of Bowen ranch. Much like any other bully in any other neighborhood. Mike came out on top of the dog pile. And now most of the community suffers from his presence.
That is my opinion. Base on decades of watching people being terrfied by his aggresive behavour. Some I have reported here.
I get confort from the sherriffs department when they tell me they know he is a lunatic.
