PHELAN - A shining young baseball star from Glendora and his passenger were killed Saturday while driving a dune buggy in the High Desert, San Bernardino County officials said Sunday.
Brandon Villalobos, 23, was driving at a high rate of speed in a "sand rail" east on Smoke Tree Road about 6:40 p.m. Saturday when he apparently lost control nearby Anderson Ranch Road.
