NOON TODAY TO 4 AM PST SATURDAY...

.A MODERATE COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TODAY
AND TONIGHT BRINGING SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW TO THE MOUNTAINS ABOVE
4000 FT. STRONG GUSTY WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WILL DEVELOP WITH
THIS SYSTEM WITH ISOLATED GUSTS TO 40 MPH POSSIBLE. THE GUSTY
WINDS AND SNOW WILL RESULT IN HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS IN THE
MOUNTAINS THROUGH TONIGHT.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST
SATURDAY.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES ARE EXPECTED FROM THIS
AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT IN THE SAN BERNARDINO AND RIVERSIDE
COUNTY MOUNTAINS...WITH 3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW EXPECTED IN THE SAN
DIEGO MOUNTAINS. GUSTY SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH
WILL DEVELOP AS THE FRONT MOVES THROUGH. ISOLATED GUSTS TO 40 MPH
ARE POSSIBLE. THE COMBINATION OF STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND MODERATE
TO HEAVY SNOW AT TIMES WILL REDUCED VISIBILITY TO LESS THAN 1/4
MILE AND CAUSE ICY ROADS...MAKING TRAVEL IN THE MOUNTAINS
HAZARDOUS THROUGH TONIGHT.

MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL BEGIN IN THE SAN BERNARDINO AND
RIVERSIDE COUNTY MOUNTAINS EARLY THIS AFTERNOON AND MOVE INTO THE
SAN DIEGO COUNTY MOUNTAINS BY LATE AFTERNOON OR EARLY EVENING.
THE MAIN FRONT SHOULD BE OUT OF THE AREA BY LATE TONIGHT WITH
LINGERING SNOW SHOWERS POSSIBLE THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW AND GUSTY
WINDS WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY
ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.

WEATHER SPOTTERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO PROVIDE UPDATED
