If thats the Icehouse Canyon just above the Baldy Village then its a place I'm familiar with. I grew up for the first 20 years of my life living in Upland just below the San Antonio Dam on the corner of 24th street and Electric Ave ( just west of Mountain Ave ). In my teen years I did alot of hikes up Icehouse canyon to Cucamonga Peak and Ontario Peak. One time me and my hiking friend hiked up Ice House canyon all the way up to the saddle between Cucamonga Peak and Ontario Peak, which is the very top of Cucamonga Canyon, then we hiked all the was down through Cucamonga canyon ( no trail ) back down to Upland where we called a friend to pick us up. There are some big waterfalls in the higher elevations of that canyon. I remember another time I was up in Ice House canyon with my cousin and there was an area up there where thousands upon thousands of Lady Bugs would congregate every year. You could just pick up a whole handful of Lady Bugs :-)
