There are only certain companies that get awarded these contracts for roadwork and it is my opinion that evidence shows that there are quid pro quos for these contracts. The county supervisor candidates receive thousands of dollars from these particular businesses for their campaign war chests. One of the county supervisors has some interest with Robertson's Ready Mix who is a major player. Robertson's Ready Mix was mentioned in his divorce papers. Another such company is Matich Construction. The senior Matich died recently, but his company built the 210 freeway and other projects in the inland empire. Then there is Yeager. And there is virtually no oversight of the financials in the County. I would like to do such an audit, but, I don't have the time or funding to do so. However, the the digital age, public records should be costing less to obtain. So, I will need to see who keeps getting this contract???
