FROM STAFF REPORTS
The e-mail photos are downright creepy: a dozen or so rattlesnakes writhing over each other next to a burrow in the desert terrain.
One e-mail writer indicates the den of Mohave Green rattlesnakes is out in Lucerne Valley and warns to be careful. A nurse from Tehachapi cautioned, “ I am alarmed because I am sure that children, as well as dirt bikers might be coming across these deadly snakes.”
In the past several days, the photos have circulated across the High Desert and beyond, with writers forwarding the same photos, claiming the rattlers are in Phelan, Lucerne Valley, Rosamond, Palmdale, Lancaster and Beaumont.
