Hello Naked Man :-) I passed along your observations and concerns to Brad this evening in an e-mail. Hopefully there is something the USFS can do to help out with this, but I know they have alot of priorities to consider, and the area where all this illegal ORV activity is occuring is really spread out. I want to get up to Deep Creek pretty soon to check out how the significant rain a couple of weeks ago affected the flow of the creek. I'm curious to see if any soot or ash came down the creek at all. Those rains probably weren't hard enough to do that. Summer time thundershower downpours are usually what gets the soot from fires down in the creekbed. That Slide Fire burn area is pretty far upstream from DCHS. I hope we don't have to deal with that black soot again.
