(I wondered why the Castro thread came to the top without any apparent recent postings!)
It is unseasonably hot here near the coast and this summer will likely be brutal and especially so if it doesn't start raining soon.
We escaped to Hollywood Beach at Channel Islands Harbor a couple of days ago and found oil along the entire beach. Three (new?) drilling platforms in the channel are likely the culprits.
Anyone know if the oil company is responsible for cleanup or will visitors and residents have to live with the mess?
