SANTA CRUZ ISLANDS...

ANOTHER SANTA ANA WIND EVENT WILL DEVELOP OVER THE WEEKEND...WITH
WINDS BEGINNING TO STRENGTHEN LATER TONIGHT AND PEAKING EARLY SUNDAY
MORNING. EAST TO NORTHEAST FACING BEACHES AND HARBORS...INCLUDING
AVALON HARBOR...COULD EXPERIENCE EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 25 KT
WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 KT SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.
LOCALLY CHOPPY SEAS WITH WIND WAVES BETWEEN 3 AND 5 FT FEET ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE IN EXPOSED WINDY AREAS. THESE OFFSHORE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO
WEAKEN LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

MARINERS LOCATED IN THE THREATENED HARBORS SHOULD TAKE PRECAUTIONS.
IN ADDITION...MARINERS PLANNING ON TRAVELING TO CATALINA ISLAND THIS
WEEKEND BE AWARE OF THE POTENTIAL FOR HAZARDOUS SEA CONDITIONS ACROSS
THE SAN PEDRO CHANNEL AND WITHIN THE VICINITY OF AVALON
HARBOR...ESPECIALLY SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUN MORNING.
