An OpEd piece in today's LA Times gave an unexpected boost to this occasional skinny dipper. The URL to the article, "Notes on Nude-Beach Season," is:

I love to wear my now wrinkled birthday suit at the springs and when I make my once-in-awhile appearances at San Onofre or other skin tolerant beaches. There are all-the-time naturists and the occasional dippers with varying degrees of clothing optional enthusiasts in between. I'm a person who fits somewhere in between and after doing this for over 35 years I feel confident in my declaration that we un-textiled folks are pretty normal. With this in mind I'm constantly miffed that the mainstream press continues to regard us with less respect than that granted to people who wear tinfoil hats and sit in the moonlight waiting for orders from the planet UrAnus. In the words of the late Rodney Dangerfield, "We Can't Get No Respect."
The author of the LA Times piece, Elizabeth Rosner, is the author of the recently published novel "Blue Nude." I appreciate her support.
