Removal of trees on Forest Service agenda
The topic of tree removal is on the agenda for a public meeting scheduled for Wednesday evening.
The U.S. Forest Service has called the meeting to discuss what is being called the Deep Creek and Green Valley Fuels Reduction Project.
Plans call for the removal of dead and dying trees as well as some small green trees. The project area is 2,770 acres of national forest land near Green Valley, north of Arrowbear and Running Springs.
The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the Hootman Senior Center, 1919 School Road. For more information, call Beth Nabors at (909) 382-2783.
