62 citations issued for off-road driving
JURUPA VALLEY - Riverside sheriff's deputies wrote several citations during an operation designed to target off-road drivers.
During the weekend of March 18 and 19, deputies issued 62 citations during their Off Road Vehicle Enforcement Program. Motorists were cited for violating Riverside County's ban on off-road vehicle use on public or private land, said a sheriff's statement.
Most of those cited live in Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties, the statement said.
The sheriff's department will continue its off-road enforcement through the rest of the year.
