Hello Mojave :-) The earth certainly has gone through various extremes of dramatic climate shifts since its formation. The evidence is showing that the 10,000 years or so that saw humanity spread from Africa, across the other continents, and then increase greatly in population, was a very fortunate, and stable period of climate, in reference to the 100's of thousands of years that preceeded it. The consensus of the information I'm seeing, is showing that the current rate of rapid climate warming, is going at a pace that far exceeds anything shown in the geologic, or ice records ( now going back about 600,000 years ). The earth may very well also be warming by some percentage in accordance with natural causes related to, sun cycles, earths variation of orbit, etc. My take on the " spit on our bones and curse our names " comment is that future generations will not be inclined to think that our age of world wide plunder, and careless caretaking of Mother Nature, was a wise and thoughtful course, when it comes to the considerations of the price payed, by those that will come, after us. The people of Easter Island followed a similiar course, increasing in population until they depleted the resources of thier finite little island in the vast expansive ocean, surrounding thier home. Then, when there was nothing left to sustian them, thier society collapsed, and disappeared, except for the Stone Faces, monuments to a society whose manner, sealed thier fate. We on the Easter Island Of Earth, are showing that the inclinations of the human animal, continue to follow the same patterns. In the last 200 years, many things have changed, but the Grey Flesh, remains the same. Prone to duplicating the errors of the past. We still contain within the structure, and workings of our minds, the inherent mechanisms that created the demise, of those people long ago, on a finite, little island.
