THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAS VEGAS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA...
INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREA...IN SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA...SAN
BERNARDINO COUNTY DESERTS.

* THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON

* A STRONG AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OFF THE COAST OF SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA WILL SLOWLY PUSH TO THE EAST MOVING ON SHORE
OVERNIGHT. A MOIST UNSTABLE AIRMASS IS IN PLACE AHEAD OF THE LOW
ACROSS SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY. BANDS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN AND
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT MUCH OF SAN
BERNARDINO COUNTY... PARTICULARLY DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
THE COMBINATION OF MOIST UNSTABLE AIR AND THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF
THE STORM SYSTEM WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASED CHANCE FOR HEAVY
RAINFALL AND...LOCALIZED FLOODING.

* RAINFALL TOTALS WILL AVERAGE 1 TO 1.5 INCHES WITH LOCALIZED
AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 2 INCHES...PARTICULARLY ACROSS HIGHER
TERRAIN AND ALONG THE MORONGO BASIN.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION
AND PERSONS IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD BE ALERT TO THE POTENTIAL
FOR HEAVY RAINFALL AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE QUICK ACTION AND MOVE
TO HIGHER GROUND.
