The weather is still with us and Juniper Flats recieved a good gully washer last night and into today. For you Deep Creekers headin up this way via Hesperia, Rock Springs Road is closed again. The latest tree watering soaked everything deep and the wildflower season has been salvaged by a March miracle that is now continuing into April. Both Luna and Round Mountains are sporting a new white coat as the snow level dropped to 5000'. The Village got some of those big fat wet white blobs as well but nothing was sticking in the mud. And MUD we have!
The traffic today on Bowen Ranch road was goopy. Slicker than snot running from a two year old's nose it was. The creek is running across the road at the Rock springs ranch and another small creek was across at the locust trees in lower Arrastra canyon. The wet weather did not stop some residents from having a parade of sorts along Bowen ranch road. The lead truck had it's flashers on, followed by a big black 4x4 suburban towing a white toyota 4x4 on a tow dolly with a flat tire. Following this was a volvo station wagon. The whole parade was going so slow that it was passed up by a desert tortise out for a stroll in the rain.
And just in case Sam is wondering........you can make it up the road but the creek is high and cold!
