The road grader dude returned from his summer long vacation this week much to the delight of the locals up here in the Village. We will undoubtable be moving a little faster into town in order to buy up some of that $ 3 Dollar plus gas. We were getting really fond of the bumps, some of which got names like "the cruncher" and "whoop-de-doo curve". Enjoy it while you can, the holiday traffic will chew it up by Monday.
Speaking of vacations, I noticed President Bush has returned from his lengthy rest in Texas. That pesky mom who lost her son in Iraq has left Texas too! Seems like her and a bunch of friends are heading for Washington. What a coincidence.
P.S. Cancell my subscription to the newspaper, I'm getting all the news I need here on the Deep Creek Forum compliments of Katrina. And....speaking of Katrina, ya think President Bush could dig up some of those active duty National Guard and a few helicopters and send them to New Orleans? I guess it wasn't such a good idea for the current administration to cut the funding for the Army Corps of Engineers in Louisiana for the past three years!
