I have been following the forum, but haven't read any recent trip reports on conditions at DCHS. I will be arriving at LAX in the early afternoon this Saturday. What are conditions for crossing the creek from the Bowen Ranch side? Since I can't get to DCHS till mid to late afternoon, about what time is it getting dark there now? - what time should one plan to leave the springs and head back to Bowen Ranch? I know that spending the night near the creek is not permitted and according to some posts, rangers do patrol to make sure people leave by a certain time.
Since I plan to come back to DCHS on Sunday and Monday anyway, if time is too short on Saturday, I may have to wait.
I do look forward to reading something about current conditions before I leave home early Saturday morning. Thanks in advance for any help provided.
