NJNaturist,
I was just there on Tuesday but entered via the Bradford route.
I found the entire place to be in exceptional shape and there were about 12 people there, one of the locals told me that on weekends there are upwards of 50 in attendance. He went on to state there is no overnight camping tollerated by the local rangers...cause I asked...bummer, anyway,
I was running late and got there just a few mins after 3pm got there just after 4pm and stayed until 6ish and then hiked out the way I came in and made it out before sunset.
The sun is setting out here at 7:30pm.
Sun is rising at 6:15am
so it might be in your best interest to get an early start on Sunday and get a good spot, although there are MANY great spots there, it'll be nice to get there early and stay late since you are coming from a~far. Bring LOTS of sun screen, H20 and food to tide you over the entire stay out there, be self sufficient and just a friendly reminder to pack all of your stuff out and swallow your pride and pick up anything you see lying around that some other jerk has left there. ;-)
As far as the creek crossing goes I really don't know but there was a group (4) that came from that route and did not make special note of it, so should be no problem.
Have a great time and post how your visit was! ;-0
