Unwanted attention

I was talking with our local coordinator of the Sierra Club and it seems that Gail and friends have contacted Sen.Boxer's office as regards to status of DCHS and the bill currently in the Senate.As I thought,Sen.Boxer was unaware of any hotsprings,but she is now.The general perception of Gov agencies and the public in general is the hot springs is frequented by weird naked people.Gails approach was not well recieved according to my sources.In conversations between Gail and my friend,what started as concerns about the hotsprings ended up as a rant about Mike Castro.It is MY OPINION that this kind of attention is detrimental to our goals of enjoying a peaceful day at the springs.It is better to work together and build a bridge with the USFS localy than to burn it in Washington.Thanks Katrina!
