Got to the trailhead.
Temperature: 110 degrees.
Turned around and went to the beach instead, feeling a tiny bit stupid for forgetting that deserts are hot in the summertime.
Going to try this again sometime during the cooler months. Perhaps MLK weekend.
Did find Vicker's Hot Spring on the way back, though. It was too hot out to want to get into a hot spring at all, but I did locate it for future personal reference. That's one of the more sulphuric-smelling ones I've encountered! Whew! Who farted?
