Re: PCT Hikers and the Springs

Thanks Coyote. I'm just back from the springs and had a very different experience with the group of PCT hikers down there this week. There seems to be some "trail angels" who arrived in the wake of a big party the PCT hikers had on Thursday night at the springs replete with many colored lights strung everywhere along the creek and around the springs. They spent part of the day cleaning up the area, though they did need one of my trash bags to do it fully. There were a lot of PCT hikers at the springs by Friday. But while they did all build fires and such, or mostly, they did seem a solid group of campers and I enjoyed my interactions with them all. I saw much more respect for the place this time from them.

Nice to see Jobe and the work on the Arizona Pool - and Hippie Dave - and many other regulars. The yearly visit of the Yoga Group from Joshua Tree happened again on Friday, so the vibe out there was super. I've rarely had more fun there -
