Sam -will do. Recent reports indicate that the gate is still closed at Santa Ynez campground. Its doubtful the Forest Service will open it because of some washouts on the road anyway.That means its about a 6 mile one-way hike or mountain bike, which is fine, because it'll keep the crowds down. Of course its closer to access the riverside pools at Big Caliente, but Little Caliente is more pristine. Hope to get there in the next few months and ride my mountain bike in like I've done many times before.
